As the CTO at OKA, an innovative Peruvian fintech and part of the Hiraoka group, I lead our entry into the financial market, building the company and its offerings from scratch. This project presents unique challenges, including defining and developing a new product under strict deadlines, budget constraints, and complex team dynamics.
With over 25 years of experience in software development and digital product innovation, my specialty lies in leading high-performance technology teams and creating digital solutions that balance business objectives, customer experience, and technology. The BNPL project at OKA exemplifies this, requiring technical excellence and a deep understanding of the fintech landscape and consumer needs.
My career includes leading technology teams for projects such as Blum SAF, Yape at BCP, Open Banking APIs at Interbank, and Missed Messages at TIM Peru. These experiences have solidified my belief in the importance of technical excellence to enhance customer experiences and business value. My passion lies in merging business strategy with technical architecture, facilitating communication between diverse roles, fostering a culture of innovation, building high-performance teams, and maintaining simplicity through extreme automation in IT processes.
Beyond primary responsibilities at OKA, consulting services in digital transformation and innovation are offered, startups are mentored, and courses on digital innovation, transformation, lean startup methodology, agility, enterprise architecture, software architecture, and DevOps are taught.
